CEAI successfully organised the Seminar on ‘River Action Plan, Flood Management and Basin Development’ on 27th & 28th July 2018 at Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel, 19 Ashoka Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi 110001. The seminar was attended by around 150 delegates engineers from various Government. Departments/ Public Sector Firms/ Consulting firms/ Contracting companies/ engineering institutions/ etc..
Mr U P Singh, Secretary Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, delivered a keynote address at the Inaugural Session on 27th July 2018. Mr S Masood Husain, Chairman, Central Water Commission was the Guest speaker.
The two-day Seminar comprised seven sessions covering River Basin Management, Integrated Flood Management, Pollution Abatement, Procurement Strategies, Current Policies and Effectiveness, International experiences, Institutional Strengthening & Capacity building, etc. Eminent speakers from the Industry presented their views on the subject including from Central Water Commission, ICID, IWAI, NDMA, NMCG, MoEF&CC, NITI Aayog, IITs, ADB, World Bank, SUEZ, TCE, Royal Haskoning DHV, STUP, C2S2, etc…
The seminar was supported by The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) of the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, NITI Aayog, Inland Waterways Authority of India of the Ministry of Shipping, Bureau of Indian Standards, International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, Indian Water Resources Society, Central Water Commission, Australian Water Partnership.
